About Our Organization
The Oral Health Florida coalition is comprised of a broad based group of agencies, institutions, organizations, communities, stakeholders, policymakers, leaders, and other individuals whose mission is to promote and advocate for optimal oral health and well-being of all persons in Florida. This mission is accomplished through the implementation of the State Oral Health Improvement Plan.
Oral Health Advocates will find the resources on this website helpful to develop strategies that will reach the goals of Oral Health Florida.
Despite many challenges for oral health stakeholders in Florida, the “case for change” has never been more evident. Florida’s low level of dental services to populations in need is reflected in the grade of “D” which was assigned to the state by the Pew Foundation’s recent state report card. Identifying policy options to improve oral health is essential to delivering care.
This online resource will provide policy makers, health care providers and oral health advocates the ability to identify new oral health care policies and improvements, to how Floridians can access affordable dental care. Working collaboratively with oral health coalitions statewide to achieve an optimal oral health system with shared data and best practices will improve individual oral health and overall health outcomes throughout our state.
When communities work together to bring resources to their neighborhoods we can keep everyone healthy.
